5K RUN/WALK: Iola-Scandinavia Leo’s will host a 5K run/walk fundraiser on Saturday, June 20, starting at 8 a.m. at the Iola Car Show grounds. The Kids Fun Run will begin at 8:45 a.m. Funds go towards Leo’s annual Lions Kids Easter Party.

ISHS BASEBALL: The Thunderbirds baseball team advanced in Regional play after defeating Assumption 6-5 in the tournament’s opening round. Today, they play Columbus Catholic at Jack Hackman Field at 5 p.m.

CORNHOLE: Silver Lake Lane’s Cornhole weekly season opens Thursday, June 4, with first toss at 6 p.m. Cost is $5 per night. Partners are drawn randomly.
