State Sen. Cory Tomczyk, 29th District

State Sen. Cory Tomczyk (R-Mosinee) has been honored by the Wisconsin Counties

Association (WCA) with a “WCA Outstanding Legislator Award” for his work on behalf of

county government during the 2025-2026 Legislative Session.

“Senator Tomczyk has been instrumental in confronting the critical issues affecting the 29th Senate District and communities across Wisconsin,” said WCA President & CEO Mark D.

O’Connell. “His continued efforts and strong commitment to developing thoughtful, durable policies will help guide Wisconsin’s future for years to come.”

“This award reflects the priorities I’ve fought for this session: supporting county governments as they serve the people of the 29th District and communities across Wisconsin,” Tomczyk indicated. “I’m grateful for this recognition and for WCA’s partnership. Strong counties make for a stronger Wisconsin, and I’ll keep working toward that.”

The “WCA Outstanding Legislator Award” is handed out biennially to a select group of

legislators who have represented county interests in both the legislature and in their districts. These legislators have demonstrated leadership for counties on key issues, legislation, and the state budget. WCA represents the interests of county government both on the state and federal levels and is in Madison, Wisconsin.
