The Scandinavia Village Board will meet Tuesday, Aug. 18, to consider updates on zoning, sewer matters, emergency ambulance service, disaster response and snow removal, along with financial and legal matters. The monthly meeting will begin at 5 p.m. in the Community Room of the Scandinavia Municipal Center, 349 N. Main Street.
The board will first consider approval of the August agenda and July minutes, followed by appearances and public comment. All items listed on the agenda will be available for discussion and possible action.
During unfinished business, the board will receive updates on zoning and the village sewer system. The zoning update and sewer update will be among the matters carried forward for consideration.
Under new business, the board will review an update from Iola & Rural Ambulance Service. Members will also receive updates on snow, ice, and flood disasters and will discuss snowplowing and removal contractors.
The board also will address pending projects and consider approval of bills. Financial matters will include verifying cash fund balances and reviewing year-to-date financials.
The board will then convene in closed session under Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(1)(g) to review legal counsel’s advice concerning a nonconforming use at 150 West Street. Following the closed session, the board will reconvene in open session under Wisconsin Statutes Section 19.85(2) and could take action on matters discussed privately.
