The Scandinavia Village Board met April 14 in the Community Room at the Municipal Center, where it reviewed ongoing sewer system operations and approved routine business items.
President David Mork called the meeting to order at 5:01 p.m. Trustees Mike Hayes, Kelton Wilhite, and Kyle Swenson, along with Clerk Alison Dunham, Deputy Clerk Mike Stockwell, and Treasurer Bob Fredy, attended the session. Trustee Dan Koehler was absent.
The board unanimously approved its April agenda and March meeting minutes. No residents spoke during the public comment period.
The majority of the discussion centered on sewer system maintenance. Deputy Clerk Mike Stockwell and Sewer Operator Jesse Hass provided updates. Hass reported that B & M would inspect the unreliable flow meter display at the lagoon. He also requested the installation of a gate at the south end of the lagoon fence to improve winter access to monitoring wells and said he would coordinate with Treasurer Bob Fredy to complete the required CMAR documentation.
A notice reminding residents not to discharge stormwater into the sanitary sewer system will appear in the next billing cycle. Fredy is also preparing the annual sewer billing and will include delinquent dog licenses with the May bills.
Trustee Wilhite agreed to research options between the Portage County Humane Society and the Humane Society of Waupaca County.
The board approved all presented bills on a 4-0 vote. Wilhite verified cash fund balances, and Fredy presented year-to-date financial reports.
The meeting adjourned at 5:47 p.m.
