The Scandinavia Town Board will hold its monthly meeting at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 12, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center.

Board members will address several items of old and new business, including a conditional use permit application for placement of a cell tower on Parcel 17-23-13-3 owned by MCC Inc. They also will consider the Iola Lions Club’s application for a temporary Class “B”/Class “B” retailer’s license and an operator’s license for the Ride for Heroes event at the Iola Car Show Campground.

Under old business, the board will discuss the Vandyke Junk/Salvage Yard, the Ron Gavin Junk/Salvage Yard, Randy Stuczynski Oak Ridge Road matters, a Knauer conditional use permit update, the Iola Ambulance Service’s new ambulance for 2027, a date for the Board of Review, the annual joint meeting with the Village of Scandinavia, and open positions on the Town of Scandinavia Board.

The agenda will begin with the Pledge of Allegiance, approval of the agenda, the clerk’s minutes, the treasurer’s report, the planning commission report, and road issues. Officials will then review bills and correspondence before opening the floor to public input, limited to three minutes per speaker. The board also will discuss backup laptop information before adjourning.
