The Scandinavia Town Board will hold its monthly meeting on Wednesday, May 13, at 5:30 p.m. at the Scandinavia Municipal Center, where members will discuss ongoing road maintenance, local junkyard issues, and several license applications.

The board will take up multiple road-related items under old business, including updates on the Vandyke and Ron Gavin junk/salvage yards and concerns along Randy Stuczynski Oak Ridge Road. Officials also plan to review a Protect Local Roads Resolution, set a date for the Board of Review, receive reports on a bi-annual bridge inspection by the Waupaca County Highway Department, and an annual road inspection involving the town chair and Scott Construction.

A Knauer conditional use permit update and progress on a new 2027 ambulance for Iola Ambulance Service are also scheduled, along with discussion of the Municipal Center parking lot.

The board will consider several new business items, including a five-minute presentation by Renee Hosket, a candidate for Waupaca County Clerk of Courts. Members will act on liquor and operator’s licenses for Silver Lake Lanes and temporary Class “B”/Class “B” retailer’s and operator’s licenses for the Iola Car Show, Inc.

Additional agenda items include approval of the agenda, the clerk’s minutes, the treasurer’s report, the planning commission report, review of bills and correspondence, and public input limited to three minutes per speaker. The board will also address open positions on the Town of Scandinavia Board.
