BLOOD DRIVE: A reminder that the Iola Lions’ Blood Drive is Wednesday, June 3, at the I-S Fitness and Aquatic Center from noon to 5 p.m. Walk-ins are welcome, but the Red Cross encourages donors to schedule an appointment at redcrossblood.org so you can get in and out faster.

MILITARY AIRCRAFT ACTIVITY: There will be an increase in flight activity over central Wisconsin from June 1 to 12 due to the 2026 Sentry North exercise at Volk Field ANGB. F-35s, F-16s, and other military aircraft are scheduled to train between 9:30 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. each day. Aircraft flying above 30,000 ft. are authorized by the FAA to operate at supersonic speeds within the Volk Military Operating Area, which may be audible at ground level.
STATE TRACK QUALIFERS: Qualifiers from Iola-Scandinavia High School include Aiden Bowen in the 200m dash; the 4x800m team consisting of Henry Vater, Evan Linjer, Jack Beck, Drake Stilen, Ben Beck, and Brycen Jorgensen; and Korz Loken in discus. Congratulations!
