EMPLOYERS: The Trump Administration has dismissed a legal challenge in the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Fifth Circuit to a ruling on President Biden’s 2024 overtime rule. With the dismissal, the threshold weekly salary or fee for a person classified as exempt from overtime pay rolls back from $844 per week to $684 per week. Workers paid less than that threshold are due time-and-a-half for work over 40 hours a week.
