The Village of Iola Ordinance Committee will meet on Tuesday, Sept. 2, to review proposed updates to village codes, highlighting new regulations for short-term rentals and changes to all-terrain vehicle rules.

The meeting will begin at 4:30 p.m. in the Village of Iola Clerk’s Office, located at 180 S. Main Street. Chairperson Aaron Messier will lead the session alongside committee members Mike Richberg and Alan Bauer.

Committee members will discuss implementing a short-term rental regulation ordinance to establish rules for temporary lodging within the village. The committee will also consider updating Section 40-17 regarding all-terrain and utility terrain vehicles.

Other agenda items include reviewing fencing codes under Chapter 4 of the Alcohol Beverages section and a proposal to add delinquent utilities to Chapter 4, Section 10-1 of the village code book.

The meeting is open to the public under Wisconsin Statutes. Officials ask all participants to silence their cell phones and follow Robert’s Rules of Order during the proceedings. The committee will conclude the meeting by setting the date and time for its next session.
