The Iola Historical Society holds its August board and membership meetings Monday, Aug. 31, at the Machine Shed, 222 Depot Street in Iola, to advance community history programs and prepare for upcoming public events.
The board convenes at 5:30 p.m., followed by the membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. Society members address business items that include planning for the Taste of Norway, Lost Arts Fair and Fall Craft Show set for Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Organizers note the need for volunteers to support the multi-faceted event, which highlights local heritage, traditional skills and crafts.
