The Iola Historical Society planned to hold its July board and membership meetings Monday, July 27, at the Machine Shed, 222 Depot St., with Waupaca County Treasurer Mark Sether scheduled to speak on the role of treasurer, county history and the state of courthouse renovations.

The board meeting was set for 5:30 p.m., followed by the membership meeting at 6:30 p.m. Sether’s program was to begin at 7 p.m.

Society members intended to review the early summer visitor season experience and events during the business portion of the meeting. They also planned to discuss upcoming activities, including the Taste of Norway, Lost Arts Fair and Fall Crafts event scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 3, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The meetings aimed to keep members informed on local history initiatives, community programming and county government matters. Questions about the events could be directed to 715-445-5050.

The society next planned to meet Monday, Aug. 31.
