WEYAUWEGA – The Iola-Scandinavia softball team beat Weyauwega-Fremont, 20-2, in a CWC-East game on Monday, May 11. The game stopped in the fourth inning due to the 15-run rule after three innings. The T-Birds improved their conference record to 8-3 and their overall record to 12-3.

The T-Birds took control of the game early, scoring 13 runs in the first two innings and adding seven more runs in the third and fourth innings. Iola-Scandinavia outhit the Warhawks 12-6 and took advantage of eight walks and three defensive errors.
Ruby Maus and Maya Munoz each had two hits and one RBI. Rayanne Clendenning had a two-run single in the first inning and finished the game with three RBIs. Maggie Maus and Katie Rosenthall also drove in two runs in the game.
Pitcher Rayanne Clendenning started the game and pitched the first innings to earn the win before letting Charlotte Isermann pitch the final two innings. Clendenning allowed four walks and had two strikeouts while Isermann allowed one walk and had three strikeouts.
The varsity team will travel to Shiocton on Tuesday, May 12, in a CWC-East game. The game will start earlier, at 3:30 p.m.
