IOLA – The Iola-Scandinavia softball team beat Weyauwega-Fremont 16-0 in a CWC-East game on Monday, April 13. The game stopped in the third inning due to the 15-run rule. The Thunderbirds have a 1-0 conference record and a 3-0 record overall.

The T-Birds had 15 hits. Brylee Jueds, Maya Munoz, Ava Printz, and Katie Rosenthal each had two hits. Rosenthal and Maggie Maus each had a double. Brylee Jueds drove in three runs, and Rosenthal, Brooklyn Berrens, and Braelyn Jueds each drove in two runs.

Rayanne Clendenning pitched the three innings to earn the victory. Clendenning allowed no hits, one walk, and had four strikeouts.

Weather permitting, Iola-Scandinavia will travel to Pittsville today, April 14, to play a non-conference game. The game is set to start at 4:45 p.m.
