The Helvetia Town Board will hold its regular monthly meeting on Tuesday, June 2, evening, and is expected to discuss 2026 road maintenance plans, upcoming town hall improvements, and several administrative items.

The meeting will begin at 7 p.m. at the Helvetia Town Hall, E2544 County Rd GG. The public is welcome to attend the open meeting.

Road issues will feature prominently on the agenda. Supervisors plan to hear updates on 2026 road projects, including shouldering and grading work, patching on specific roads, culvert projects near Moen Lake, and seal coating on Lutz Road, Swamp Road, and Pagel Road. Reports are anticipated from Chad Bestul, the Waupaca County Highway Department, and Scott’s Construction.

Town hall maintenance will also come up for discussion. Board members will address scheduled floor cleaning in July, ceiling tile work by Justin Hintz, and a review of the town hall rental agreement.

Other items include approval of minutes from the May 5 meeting and current town bills, the treasurer’s report, and confirmation that the Board of Review concluded on May 12. The board will also consider fire department 2% dues due in July, a possible switch to QuickBooks Online, the purchase of a new computer, and clerk training for Kotti Hintz. Hintz is also expected to receive consideration for liquor and bartenders’ licenses.

Jeff Oppor is slated to report on the Wisconsin Towns Association meeting held on May 28. Gary Prill will provide an update from the Planning Committee. A period for public input is scheduled before adjournment.
