Town of Helvetia Hall

The Helvetia Town Board will hold its regular monthly meeting at 7 p.m. on Tuesday,  Aug. 4, at the town hall, E2544 County Rd GG in Iola, to discuss road maintenance priorities, town hall improvements and other local government matters.

Officials will consider multiple 2026 road projects during the open public meeting. Planned work includes grading and projects on Moen Lake Ct., culvert work at Moen Lake Retreat, patching, shouldering, and August patching on Carper Rd. The board will also review seal coating on Lutz Road, Swamp Road and Pagel Road, along with road brushing, ditch mowing and maintenance budgeting for town tractors. Road signs will also be addressed.

The board will hear updates on town hall projects, including ceiling tile work, a propane contract for the 500/1000 tank and quotes for a new air conditioning unit. Floor cleaning has already been completed.

Additional agenda items include a presentation by Renee Hosket, a candidate for Waupaca County Clerk of Circuit Courts; discussion of comprehensive planning related to Yah’s Refuge LLC; and consideration of a new computer purchase. The board will also review a July 30 fire meeting report and address dog license billing and fine notification procedures involving town officials and the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Department.

Routine business will include approval of the July 7 meeting minutes, payment of town bills and the treasurer’s report. The Planning Committee will provide an update, and the public will have an opportunity to offer input before the meeting adjourns.
