Briggs Wogsland is the State of Wisconsin Lions 2021-2022 Peace Poster Contest winner, the Iola Lions are pleased to announce.

The Iola Lions in partnership with Lions International and the Iola-Scandinavia Middle School host the contest each year. The students are given a theme to use to express their vision of peace by creating a poster.

This year’s theme was “We Are All Connected”. After having his poster selected as the best locally it advanced to further competition at the Lions district and state levels where it was awarded 1st place at both.

“Our club has had posters win at the district level but never at state, so this is a terrific achievement and one we’re extremely proud of Briggs for accomplishing” said Lion Mark Forseth. Briggs is the son of Adam and Jennifer Wogsland. Briggs, accompanied by his dad and sister, was recognized by the Iola Lions at their January meeting and presented with a certificate of achievement along with a $100 check from the Wisconsin Lions.
