  • Save your glass jars! The Iola Village Library needs glass jars for craft projects. Make sure they are properly cleaned
  • The Portage/Waupaca County 35th Annual Ice Age Trail Hike-A-Thon will be Saturday, Oct. 1, at the Iola Winter Sports Club, County Road MM from 8:30-11 a.m. Cost is $5 per person, $15 for a family of four or more, and $3 per person for school/youth groups of five or more. The highlight will be the reopening of the County Road T to Krogwold Road segment.
  • Sweet Medicine in Iola is closing its doors this week. We wish Susan Shambeau well in her future endeavors.
  • Mike Hafemann has officially retired from his work at the Plover Post Office AND from the beloved Cob Run for corn roast lead position! Congratulations on this new venture in life! And now we need help! The Scandinavia Booster Club is now looking for someone new to continue to lead this event for upcoming years! Mike has offered to help someone be successful in this venture so please think about joining our team and making the Cob Run your own! You know, take it and run with it!
