IWSC TRAILS CLOSED: All Iola Winter Sports Club trails are closed for the nine-day gun deer hunt starting this Saturday.

CHRISTMAS PARADE AND SANTA VISIT: The Iola Lions and Iola-Scandinavia Chamber will host their annual Christmas Parade & Santa Visit on Saturday, Dec. 7. The parade will start at 4:30 p.m. After the parade, the festivities will continue at the Iola Historical Society Machine Shed building with a visit from Santa. Children will receive a free goodies bag and are encouraged to bring a letter to Santa. 

HOLIDAY CHEER: Living Oaks and The Willows invite you to join us in spreading holiday cheer by ensuring every senior in our community receives a thoughtful gift this season. Your kindness can make a world of difference to someone who may otherwise feel forgotten.

COMMUNITY CHRISTMAS CONCERT: Dec. 1 at 6:30 p.m. The Iola Community Choir will present its annual Christmas Concert at Hitterdahl Lutheran Church. The beautiful and powerful cantata, “Celebrate The Child” will be performed by members of several area churches. The concert will also be available online through Facebook Live. The concert will repeat on Dec. 8 at Our Savior’s Lutheran Church at 9 a.m.
