HIGHWAY 10 WRONG-WAY DRIVER: On Sunday, April 27, at 8:58 p.m. the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office received a report of a vehicle traveling westbound in the eastbound lanes of U.S. Highway 10 near Airport Rd. One minute after the initial report, the Waupaca County Sheriff’s Office received a call of a crash on U.S. Highway 10 eastbound east of Churchill Street. The westbound wrong-way driver collided head-on with an eastbound vehicle. Theda Star medical helicopter transported a 62-year-old male driver of the struck vehicle to an area hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. A 23-year-old male wrong-way driver was transported to a local hospital due to non-life-threatening injuries sustained.
