- RAY HEMPLE FELLOWSHIP: Congratulations to Iola Lion Mark Forseth for receiving the prestigious Ray Hemple Fellowship for his selfless work over decades in giving of his time and self for the benefit of others. Lions change the world and make a difference in peoples’ lives. Lion Ray Hempel was a person who changed the world for thousands of kids. His vision challenged Wisconsin Lions to change the world of children with special needs. Lion Ray served as the first Lions Camp Director and eagerly took on its development. In 1959 Lion Ray was recognized as the originator of the Wisconsin Lions Camp by Lions International President, Clarence L. Sturm.

- PAUL HARRIS FELLOW: Al Foote, formerly from Iola, was presented with his fourth Paul Harris Fellowship on Wednesday, June 14. The award recognizes contributions to Rotary International, which funds projects and programs worldwide.
