Due to the Covid 19 virus, the open book meeting schedule in the Village of Scandinavia will not be held in person at the Scandinavia Municipal Center this year. It will be held by phone and/or email with the assessor.

No one knows for sure how long we will remain in the ‘safer at home’ protocols. Life goes on as best we can. Technology allows us to answer your questions about your assessment without the potential for further spread of the virus. I can be reached by phone at almost all times. There is a date and time listed for open book on your notice of changed assessment but feel free to call or email me any time before then.

Please note you must notify your town clerk 48 hours in advance if you decide to appeal your assessment to the Board of Review. Please call regarding the location and procedures for Board of Review as that date approaches. Assuming the quarantine is lifted by then that meeting could be held at the Scandinavia Municipal center as usual. The dates and times are on the enclosed notice of assessment.

Again, I will be in my office and can be reached via phone or email to answer any questions you may have. These are extraordinary circumstances and these precautions are in place for the health safety of all involved. Thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
