The Village of Scandinavia Board held its regular monthly meeting on Dec. 12 in the Scandinavia Municipal Center Community Room.
Making public comments were Steve Smith, Gordon Kirchoff, and Carol Kraco.
It was reported that no one has expressed interest in the sewer operator position.
The Board reviewed the dam report that was sent to the DNR, there were a few items to address. No word from the DNR that the report was received or accepted. The invoice will not be paid until the Board receives notice the report was accepted.
Trustee Wilhite recommended tabling the Resolution to Amend Ordinance 6-1-12 “Public Nuisance: Noisy Animals or Fowls” until the recommendations and concerns of the village’s attorney have been reviewed.
Mike Stockwell was appointed deputy clerk.
Election Board 2-24-25 appointees include Charmaine Hawke, Mary Mork, Linda Johnson, Kris Mork, Chris Williams, and Julie Komer.
It was decided that the parking concern behind Main Street was a personal dispute.
Morgan questioned if there should be a one-way sign at the alley. This will be added to the January agenda.
Morgan updated the Board on alternate side of the street winter parking. One warning sticker was placed on a vehicle and the owner called Morgan for clarification.
