Village of Iola Parks Committee to discuss community projects May 29

The Village of Iola Parks Committee is scheduled to convene on Wednesday, May 29, at 6 p.m. The meeting will take place at the Iola Village Hall, located at 180 South Main Street. This session is poised to address several key issues pertinent to the community’s recreational spaces and initiatives.

The committee, chaired by Rick Meters, includes members Pamela Parks and Alan Bauer. They will begin the meeting with a call to order, followed by an open meeting statement and roll call.

One of the primary agenda items is updates on the village gardens.

Fundraising ideas will also be a significant topic of conversation.

Another important issue on the agenda is an update on the water source for the dog park. Ensuring a reliable and sustainable water supply is vital for the health and enjoyment of the pets and their owners who frequent the park.

In addition to these specific topics, the committee will address any other business that may come before them. This open-ended segment allows for the discussion of unforeseen issues or opportunities that require immediate attention.

The meeting will conclude with the scheduling of the next meeting, followed by adjournment. The Parks Committee encourages community members to attend and participate, as public input is invaluable in shaping the future of Iola’s recreational facilities.
