Village of Iola Ordinance Committee to revisit ATV/UTV Regulations and Overnight Camping Resolution

The Village of Iola’s Ordinance Committee will convene on Wednesday, May 29, at 6 p.m. in the Iola Village Hall Clerk’s Office, 180 S. Main Street, for a public meeting. Chaired by Rick Meyers, with members Pamela Parks and Alan Bauer, the committee will address key community issues, including the review of ATV/UTV ordinances and the finalization of a resolution on overnight camping.

One of the primary items on the agenda is the review and re-examination of the ATV/UTV ordinances previously presented at the May board meeting. The committee aims to reassess these regulations to ensure they meet community standards and safety requirements. Public input is encouraged during the meeting, providing an opportunity for residents to voice their opinions and concerns.

The committee will also focus on completing the 2024-004 Resolution concerning overnight camping. This resolution is set to be presented at the June 2024 meeting. The proposed resolution is expected to address camping regulations within the village boundaries, impacting local parks and public spaces.

The agenda includes provisions for addressing any other business that may come before the committee. There will also be a continued review of changes to Chapter 2 of the village regulations. The meeting will conclude with the scheduling of the next meeting date before adjournment.
