In a dominant performance in the BABA South Central Division, the Scandinavia Vikings triumphed over the Winneconne team with a decisive 9-1 victory. The Vikings showcased their offensive prowess and solid pitching, while Winneconne struggled to find their footing.
Cyle Zblewski led the Vikings from the mound, earning the win with a stellar pitching performance that kept the Winneconne hitters largely at bay. In contrast, Devin Marine took the loss for Winneconne, unable to contain the explosive Scandinavia offense.
Scandinavia’s hitters were on fire throughout the game, with Braden Hunkins leading the charge. Hunkins went 3-for-4, smashing a home run and a double, and driving in three runs, providing the spark the Vikings needed. Ben Lee and Sterling Lutz also had outstanding games, both going 3-for-6 and consistently getting on base to keep the pressure on Winneconne.
On the Winneconne side, offense was hard to come by. Jared Danke and Josh Frank managed to collect hits, both going 1-for-3 with doubles, but the team couldn’t string together enough hits to mount a serious challenge against Zblewski and the Vikings.
The game underscored the strength of Scandinavia’s lineup and pitching depth, setting them up as formidable contenders in the South Central Division.
