Vikings crush Weymont 22–1 behind Zblewski’s dominance, Hunkins’ power surge

In a commanding performance Friday night, June 27, the Scandinavia Vikings decimated Weymont 22–1 in a South Central Division Badger Amateur Baseball matchup, riding a dominant start from Cyle Zblewski and a historic night at the plate by Braden Hunkins.

Zblewski earned the win with efficiency and control, keeping Weymont off balance through his outing. Weymont’s Luke Schwenn was tagged with the loss after struggling early as Scandinavia’s lineup erupted.

Scandinavia jumped out to a fast start and never looked back, pounding out 20 hits in a relentless offensive display.

Hunkins led the charge, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two home runs and six RBIs, setting the tone from the first pitch. His power at the plate left the Weymont defense reeling and the crowd buzzing.

Ben Lee also had a huge night, collecting three hits in six trips to the plate, scoring twice, and driving in five runs. Landon Moe chipped in with two hits, three runs, and an RBI as the lineup fired on all cylinders.

Weymont’s offense managed just three hits on the night. Tyler Wetzel was a bright spot, lacing a double and scoring the team’s lone run. Schwenn and Kolden Baehman added a hit each, but the team never threatened.

Scandinavia’s offensive rhythm, combined with Zblewski’s poise on the mound, left no room for a comeback. The victory cements their position as a dominant force in the division.
