Veloise (Val) E. Kuhnke

June 21, 1932 – 2023

Veloise (Val) E. Kuhnke, 91, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed at Sierra Hills surrounded by her loving family.

She was born on June 21, 1932, Iola, Wisconsin, to Claude and Irma (Pommerening) Sweetalla.

Val was a homemaker, in addition to being employed at the Zwicker’s Knitting Mill, Appleton, Wisconsin, for 20 plus years and the Country Buffet, Appleton, for 15 years. She was a resident of Appleton until her husband’s passing in 2010 at which time she relocated to Cheyenne to be near her daughters.

Her hobby was bowling, which she did until the age of 84.

She is survived by her daughters Susan (Frank) Rocha and Vera Kuhnke, both of Cheyenne; sister Betty Krenke and brother Gary (Madeline) Sweetalla, both reside in Wisconsin.

Val was preceded in death by her husband of 55 years Ronald V. Kuhnke; brothers Eugene, Gerald, Delvin, Darwin, Claude Jr. Sweetalla; and sister Mariette Dineen.

A memorial service will be held back in Wisconsin at a later date.
