SCAM ALERT: Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative has issued the following Scam Alert: We have been notified by one of our members that there is another phone scam circulating in the area. The member said they received a call and a person who stated they were from the power company and they were calling because the member had a credit on their account. The person asked the member for a credit card number so the credit could be applied to their credit card. This is a scam call and the call did not come from CWEC. If you receive a call like this or a similar call, do not give out any personal information and hang up on the caller. Feel free to call our office at 715-677-2211 if you have any questions.
