VOTE FOR ATHLETE OF WEEK: It’s time to vote for the standout high school performer of the week for the Central Wisconsin area. The Menke GMC Athlete of the week poll for April 6-13 is now open until noon Thursday. Local athletes in the running include: Rayanne Clendenning, who pitched the distance to earn the win, allowing only four hits, no walks while striking out 13 batters; and, Maya Munoz, who notched two hits and drove in four runs in Iola-Scandinavia’s win over Nekoosa. SEN. JOHNSON’S WEALTH TIED TO CHINA: He declared $57m in income in his first 10 years in office in connection to his ownership stake in a company whose growth has closely been linked to China. Financial disclosures show the senator’s wealth has sharply increased during his years running for and serving in the Senate thanks to his holding in Oshkosh-based Pacur, a plastics maker where Johnson previously served as top executive.
