  • STATE CHAMPIONS: The Iola-Scandinavia High School Softball Team is State D4 Champions. The team stunned Waterloo with a 7-run 7th inning including a grand slam. This is the first state championship for the school in softball. Congratulations players and coaches!
  • IOLA LIONS SCHOLARS: The Iola Lions Club honored recipients of scholarships recently. They are: Clara Koles, Chloe Timdal, Malea Tessen, Brandon Phillips, Braden Louison, and Elizabeth Enoch. Each year, 6-7 Iola-Scandinavia High School Seniors receive a $1,500 scholarship.
  • STATE SENATE CANDIDATE: Collin McNamara, formerly of Iola, has announced his candidacy for Wisconsin’s 24th State Senate seat. The district consists of portions of Portage, Wood, Jackson, and Monroe counties. He is a UW–Stevens Point graduate.
  • STATE TRAP TEAM: The Iola-Scandinavia High School Trap Team did well at State competition. Top shooters were Mason 95/100, Elton 92/100, Carson Z 87/100, Lewis 86/100, and Korbin 83/100. Four shooters shot a perfect 25/25 round: Mason, Elton, Carson and Lewis. Congratulations!
