STUFF THE BUS: The Iola Lions are holding a Stuff the Bus event on Saturday, Aug. 9, at Sentry Foods. School supplies and cash will be accepted.
WELCH’S FUTURE IN GREEN BAY: Another article has been written about Iola’s Kristian Welch and his prospects playing in Green Bay this season. Read the article here. “Welch is one of the better stories entering training camp. A native of Iola, Wisconsin, Welch has made a name for himself on special teams during his career since breaking in as an undrafted free agent with the Baltimore Ravens. He’s played 1,382 special teams snaps over the first five years of his career and has posted a Pro Football Focus special teams grade over 70 three times, including a 72.7 mark during the 2023 season.”
HITTERDAHL AT THE MILL: Hitterdahl Lutheran Church services will be held at The Mill in Iola at 10:15 a.m. It will be a “Throwback” worship service with live music and a meal to follow. Bring your beverage or buy it there; sandwiches and salads will be provided. Bring a dish to pass or make a freewill offering.
