CRASH FATALITY: James Michael Kemp, 48, of Iola died as a result of a traffic crash near Eland, Wisconsin, in the Town of Norrie, on April 19 about 9 a.m.

PIZZA AND LITERACY: The Iola-Scandinavia Elementary School is hosting a Pizza and Literacy Night on Thursday, May 1, in the Multipurpose Room from 5:30-7 p.m. The form was sent home with elementary students and must be returned by Wednesday, April 30.
SOCCER COACHES NEEDED: The Iola-Scandinavia Recreation Association needs volunteer coaches for all levels of teams. It is only one week away from the first week of soccer.

FT. MCCOY COMMANDER RELIEVED: Col. Sheyla Baez Ramirez, the garrison commander at Fort McCoy near Sparta, Wisconsin, was suspended after her base failed to display official portraits of the president, vice president, and defense secretary.
