Iola’s Riverwalk closed

Due to a recent falling incident on Iola’s Riverwalk, the pathways and board walkways are closed indefinitely due to challenges with boards and portions of the structures. The Village of Iola will soon hold a meeting on the walkway and steps to be taken to correct the challenges.

VIKINGS WIN: The Scandinavia Vikings baseball team beat Weymont 12-2 in seven innings in BABA South Central Division play. Winning pitcher was Landon Moe with 5 IP, 2 ER, 8 K. Hitters were: Gus Turner 3-4, HR, 5 RBI; and Branden Hunkins 3-3, 3 RBI, and 4 R.

SCHOLARSHIP WINNER: Central Wisconsin Electric Cooperative recipient of a $425 Operation Round Up scholarship is Braden Louison, who graduated from Iola-Scandinavia High School this year. Braden plans to attend Fox Valley Technical College to major in Residential Construction Management. Congratulations!
