The Scandinavia Town Board met on Wednesday, March 10, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center and via web conference. Chairman Gary Marx called the meeting to order at 5:41 p.m. All board members present in person.
Frank Bauer made a motion to move New Business to the top of the agenda. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Frank Bauer made a motion to accept Clerk’s minutes. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Mike Mazemke provided the Treasurer’s report for February 2021. Frank Bauer made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Old Business
Van Dyke Junk/Salvage Yard – nothing to report
Ron Gavin Junk/Salvage Yard – nothing to report
Highway 49 (Scandinavia to Iola) project scheduled for 2020 after the Iola Car Show – date has been changed to 2022, nothing new to report.
Municipal Center – the new doors have been installed.
Open Book: April 20, from 10 a.m.-noon via phone.
Board of Review: April 26, from 6-8 p.m. at the Municipal Center.
Town of Scandinavia Annual Meeting: Tuesday, April 20, at 5:30 p.m.
Annual Road Inspection date: hold on date until April town meeting
Biennial Bridge Inspection: Waupaca County will do the inspection
Humane Officer: will continue to look for someone to fill this position
New Business
Planning Commission Committee: new member will be needed as soon as possible.
Frank Bauer made a motion to approve the payment of bills presented including: Village of Scandinavia (March expenses), Village of Scandinavia ( 4th Quarter 2020 sewer), KerberRoase Technology Inc (computer), WTA Waupaca County (dues), Village of Iola, (winter maintenance), County Materials Corporation (winter maintenance), Rural Mutual Insurance Company (insurance premiums), and Village of Iola (recycling). Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Correspondence from the following was reviewed: Land Use Permit Applications from Patrick and Tammy Bauer, Andy Lind, and Jack Sullivan/JWS Trust.
The April 2021 Board meeting will be held on Tuesday, April 20, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center immediately following the Annual Meeting.
