The Scandinavia Town Board met on Wednesday, July 13, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center and via web conference. Present board members Gary Marx, Frank Bauer, Brenda Mazemke, and Mike Mazemke. Bryan Fuhs attended via telephone.
Frank Bauer made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Frank Bauer made a motion to accept Clerk’s minutes. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Mike Mazemke provided the Treasurer’s report for June 2022. Frank Bauer made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Road Issues – Scott Constructions has completed all their road construction. Torgerson Road work has been delayed because there is a logger working in the area. The Rosholt Road stop sign, and post is missing, so it will be replaced. Curtis Lane tree trimming is being done; a resident noted issues with branches hanging over the road.
Municipal Center/Community Room – Frank Bauer made a motion to designate the first six stalls along the TDS building for public parking in the Municipal Center parking lot, due to additional businesses in town and limited public parking. All stalls along the Municipal Center will be for Municipal Center and Library customers, and two stalls for duty Fire Department personnel, which will be designated with a sign. Motion seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Old Business
Humane Officer – Working on an agreement going with the Waupaca County Humane Society. We will continue to search for a humane officer.
New Business
Set date for the Annual Joint Meeting with Village of Scandinavia-we are proposing Monday, Sept. 19, at 5 p.m. The Village will present this date to their Board.
Gudmundsen Road Vacate – Bryan Fuhs made a motion to approve the Gundmundsen Road (sometimes referred to as Gudmanson Road) Resolution to Abandon as a Town Road. Motion was seconded by Frank Bauer. Motion carried. Public Hearing is scheduled for Wednesday, Sept. 21, at 5:30 p.m.

Ricci TriQueiro Waupaca County “Public Nuisances” issue – Waupaca Count Zoning will be following on up on this issue.
There will be an IRS increase in mileage reimbursement effective July 1 from 58.5 cents to 62.5 cents.
Frank Bauer made a motion to approve the payment of bills presented including: Scott Construction (highway expense), Waupaca County Treasurer (highway expense), Iola Ambulance Service (2nd quarter assessment), Depot Street Station LLC (highway expense), Old Republic Surety Group (bond insurance), Rural Mutual Insurance Company (insurance), Village of Scandinavia (2nd of sewer), and Village of Scandinavia (June expense). We will pay Scott Constructions $45,000 at this time. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Correspondence from the following was reviewed – Land Use Permit Application Krissy Wasrud and a Notice of Intent to Cut Jonathan Fox.
The August 2022 Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, Aug. 10, at 5:30 p.m. at the Scandinavia Municipal Center.
