The Scandinavia Town Board met on Wednesday, Jan. 8, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center following the Annual Meeting. Frank Bauer was not present. Chairman Gary Marx called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.
Gary Marx made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Gary Marx made a motion to accept Clerk’s minutes. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Mike Mazemke provided the Treasurer’s report for December 2019. Gary Marx made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motions were seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Road Issues – Researching plowing of the Town of Scandinavia roads in fall 2020-21 with Faulks, Glodowski Trucking, and Chad Bestul. We will start plowing Gudmanson Road again. Snow fence has been put up.
New Business
The Town Treasurer received a new laptop with Windows 10, Access, Microsoft Suite, and Quicken.
Gary Marx made a motion to approve the payment of bills presented including: Lashua Excavating Inc. (highway expense), County Materials Corporation (winter expense), Village of Scandinavia (3rd & 4th Quarter 2019 sewer expenses), and Kelly Zillmer (assessor), David Heise (humane officer). The motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Correspondence from the following was reviewed: Notice of Intent to Cut Wood Products from Johnson/Koehler Farm Trust, Wayne and Sheila Luck, and Carl Lantz.
Public Input – Joel Bartel, candidate for Waupaca County Board Supervisor-District 9, spoke to the Board about his reasons for running and what he hopes to do for the residents.
The February 2020 Town Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center which is at 5:30 p.m.
Bryan Fuhs moved to adjourn. Motion seconded by Gary Marx. Meeting adjourned.
