The Scandinavia Town Board met on Wednesday, Feb. 9, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center and via web conference.
Frank Bauer made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried
Bauer made a motion to accept Clerk’s minutes. Motion was seconded by Fuhs. Motion carried.
Mike Mazemke provided the Treasurer’s report for January 2022. Fuhs made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motion was seconded by Bauer. Motion carried.
Bryan Fuhs made a motion to approve a Town of Scandinavia Debit Card through Premier Community Bank that is tied to our checking accounting to use for reoccurring expenses. Motion was seconded by Frank Bauer. Motion carried.
Planning Commission Report – nothing to report
Road Issues – Elm Valley Road was graveled to fix a dip, we have had some concerned callers.
Old Business
Ron Gavin Junk/Salvage Yard – nothing to report
Highway 49 (Scandinavia to Iola) project scheduled for 2020 after the Iola Car Show – date
has been changed to 2022.
Humane Officer –continue the search
Scandinavia Firetruck Purchase: A possible firetruck had come up for auction, which would fill a need on the Scandinavia Fire Department, a bid maximum was approved.
Iola Car Show CSM – discussed
New Business
Open Book is Monday, April 18, from 10 a.m.-noon. Board of Review is April 25, from 6-8 p.m. at the Scandinavia Municipal Center.
Town of Scandinavia Annual Meeting is Tuesday, April 19, at 5:30 p.m.
Annual Road Inspection – hold on date until March Town Meeting
Biennial Bridge Inspections will be performed by Waupaca County Highway Department
ARPA Funds – Discussion on how to use funds. A priority list will be prepared.
Frank Bauer made a motion to approve the payment of bills presented including: Village of Scandinavia (February exp), County of Waupaca Treasurer (election exp), County of Waupaca Treasurer (PILT), I-S School District (PILT), Fox Valley Technical College (PILT), Wanda Frye (MC Rental deposit), Village of Iola (winter maintenance), and County Materials Corporation (winter maintenance). Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
The March 2022 Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 9, at 5:30 p.m. at the Scandinavia Municipal Center.
