The Scandinavia Town Board met on Wednesday, Feb. 12, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center following the Annual Meeting.
Chairman Gary Marx called the meeting to order at 5:35 p.m.
Frank Bauer made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Frank Bauer made a motion to accept Clerk’s minutes. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Mike Mazemke provided the Treasurer’s report for January 2020. Frank Bauer made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report. Motions were seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Road Issues – Lashua Inc will continue to plow the Town of Scandinavia roads for fall 2020-21 season.
Old Business
Highway 49 (Scandinavia to Iola) project scheduled for 2020 after the Iola Car Show – date has been changed to 2022.
Municipal Center – reviewed the municipal center rental contract to remove the absolutely no alcohol allowed policy. We can add it back into the agreement at our discretion at any time, if there are problems.
New Business
Board of Review- we will propose dates to accessor and bring the dates to the March meeting.
Annual Meeting- Tuesday, April 21.
Biennial Bridge Inspections – Gary Marx proposed having the Waupaca County Highway Department perform our biennial bridge inspections. Frank Bauer made a motion to accept the proposal and Bryan Fuhs seconded the motion. Motion carried.
Frank Bauer a motion to approve the payment of bills presented including: Lashua Inc (winter maintenance), County Materials Corporation (winter expense), Village of Scandinavia (February expenses), Waupaca County Treasurer (recycling fee), Waupaca County Treasurer (relier fees), Waupaca County Treasurer (general administration), KerberRose Technology Inc (computer), Waupaca County Treasurer (PILT), Iola-Scandinavia School District (PILT), Fox Valley Technical College (PILT), Waupaca County Treasurer (MFL), and Waupaca County Treasurer (winter maintenance). The motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Correspondence from the following was reviewed: Notice of Intent to Cut Wood Products from WSCC Enterprises, LLC, and Jorgens Revoc Trust Robert A. Land Use Permit Applications from Sage Anthony, David and Barb Nelson, and Kevin Kramer.
The March 2020 Town Board meeting will be held on Wednesday, March 11, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center which is at 5:30 p.m.
