The Scandinavia Town Board met on Tuesday, April 18, at the Scandinavia Municipal Center following the Annual Meeting. Present board members Gary Marx, Frank Bauer, Brenda Mazemke, Mike Mazemke, and Bryan Fuhs.
Meeting called to order at 5:45 pm. Pledge of Allegiance followed.
Frank Bauer made a motion to approve the agenda. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Frank Bauer made a motion to accept the Clerk’s minutes. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Treasurer’s report provided by Mike Mazemke for March 2023. The bank balance as of March 31, 2023, was $107,560.03. Frank Bauer made a motion to accept the Treasurer’s report with a change to classification on a invoice. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Planning Commission Report – Public hearing review of a Conditional Use Permit Application for non-metallic mining of construction fill by Faulks Bros Construction on Wednesday, May 3, at 6 p.m.
Road Issues – 2023 road projects were reviewed. Frank Bauer made a motion to move ahead with the Scott Construction, Lashua, Waupaca County Highway Department, and B&B Paving road projects. Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
Old Business
Vandyke Junk Yard Salvage Yard – nothing to report.
Ron Gavin Junk/Salvage Yard – nothing to report.
Annual Road Inspection – has been completed by Scott Construction.
Biennial Bridge Inspection – are done every two years on even years by Waupaca County.
Notice of Meeting to Adjourn Board of Review – Wednesday, May 10, at 5:30 p.m.
Brekke Lake ordinance discussed.
New Business
Planning/Zoning: CSM application for property at N5586 Bergen Road-taking two existing 40-acre parcels and reconfiguring the 40 line to a new line. Nothing received for this meeting, so will be discussed at next month’s meeting.
Planning/Zoning: CSM application for property on Nottleson Road, parcels 17-16-13-6 and 17-16-13-10, combining two parcels into one for construction. Nothing received for this meeting, so will be discussed on next month’s meeting.
Frank Bauer made a motion to approve the payment of bills presented including: Village of Scandinavia (March expense), Muti Media Channels (legal notice), Iola Ambulance Service (2nd Qtr. assessment), Waupaca County Treasurer (dog license remittance), Waupaca County Treasurer (highway expense), Lashua Inc (winter maintenance), WTA (membership dues), and Rent-a-Flash (fire number signs). Motion was seconded by Bryan Fuhs. Motion carried.
