May 23 Board minutes

The Town of Iola Board met on Monday, June 23, in the town hall for its regular monthly meeting.

Chairman Sprangers called the meeting to order at 6:00 pm.

Board Members present were: Mark Sprangers, Bruce Faldet, Josh Franchuk, Denis Walter and Steve Madson.

Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the agenda for the meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried.

Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the minutes from the April regular meeting, Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the minutes from the Annual Meeting. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the minutes from the Board of Review. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried.

Old Business

Roads – A revised road maintenance schedule was discussed for 2022 from the schedule that was approved at the April meeting. The board discussed the schedule that added a little more maintenance for this year. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the new schedule. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried.

New Business

Tim Goli Certified Survey Map. Goli is splitting a 40-acre parcel into two separate parcels. Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to approve the map. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried.

Clerk Madson informed the board of a shoreland permit for Michael & Gidget Blank for a concrete patio/pool. A building permit for James & Alexus Davy for a pole shed. Land use permits for Krueger Farms for a car port, Josh Franchuk for a deck/egress window/basement stairwell/Greenhouse/sidewalk/pool/deck/concrete apron, Jerauld Dunn ag/equipment shed, Kevin Dahle new home/garage, and James and Alexus Davy for a pole shed.

Audit of the town books was done by Supervisor Faldet and Supervisor Franchuk.

Supervisor Franchuk made a motion to pay the monthly bills. Supervisor Faldet seconded the motion and it carried. There being no further business the meeting adjourned
