The regular meeting of the Town of Helvetia was held at the Town Hall and was called to order by Chairman Calvin Preuss at 7 pm.

Town Board members present Calvin Preuss, Gary Chich, Jeff Oppor, Liane Gruenwald, absent Doug Hines. Town resident Kathy Quinlan also present.

The Board recited the Pledge of Allegiance.
Minutes of the Aug. 3 meeting were read by Liane Gruenwald in Doug Hines absence. Motion to approve the minutes was made by Gary Chich, second by Jeff Oppor.

Town Bills were presented and approved with a motion by Jeff and a second by Gary Chich.

Treasurer’s report was given and approved with a motion by Gary Chich and second by Jeff Oppor.

New Business

The board appointed Kathy Quinlan as temporary Clerk, Liane Gruenwald will also assist with the Clerk duties, both will be paid $12 hourly. Motion was made by Jeff Oppor and second by Gary Chich.

The speed limit ordinance will be rewritten for approval by the board.

All town board members will change their emails to Gmail accounts with those being recorded along with passwords. Motion made by Jeff Oppor second by Gary Chich.

Jeff Oppor will attend the Waupaca County Recycling meeting.

Window and screen has been repaired.

Kathy Quinlan will power wash the back of the hall to remove the mold on the siding.

Cal Preuss will talk to Chad Bestul to have a culvert put in on Carper Road.

Jeff Oppor will pick up Plexi Glass and construct barriers for the upcoming election for voter/worker safety.

Gary Prill was not present.

Next meeting Monday Oct. 5 at 7 p.m.
