The regular meeting of the Town of Helvetia Board was held at the Town Hall, and was called to order by Chairman Calvin Preuss at 7 p.m. All Town board members were present, three3 town residents were present.
The Board cited the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Clerk Doug Hines and approved with a motion by Gary Chich, second by Jeff Oppor.
Town bills were approved and paid with a motion by Oppor, second by Gary Chich.
The Treasurers reports were given and approved with a motion by Chich, second by Oppor.
New Business
The new Lawn Mower has been delivered.
The TRIS program was applied for, for Moen Road repairs, but the County said the Town did not qualify for this program. Swamp road will be blacktopped this summer. Grinding up Moon Road will also be done. The Chairman will check with the county highway department about brush cutting along Carper Road.
There have been no snowplowing complaints so far.
It has been brought to the Town’s attention that they may use the ARPA funds for Town Roads. Also, the Chairman will check into Federal grants that may be available.
Gary Prill, from the Plan Commission, approved a conditional use permit for Daniel Butch.
The Annual Board of Audit was held and the books were approved.
