The regular meeting of the Town of Herlvetia Board was held at the Town Hall, and was called to order by Chairman, Calvin Preuss at 7 p.m. All Town board members were present. Notice of meeting date change was posted as required.
The Board cited the Pledge of Allegiance.
The minutes of the previous meeting were read by Clerk Doug Hines and approved with a motion by Gary Chich, second by Jeff Oppor.
Town bills were approved and paid with a motion by Jeff Oppor, second by Gary Chich.
The Financial and Treasurers reports were given and approved with a motion by Jeff Oppor, second by Gary Chich.
New Business
Chip Sealing was done on Carper Road and Swamp Road blacktop has been ground up. Blacktopping 18-foot wide section of Moen Road was approved with a motion by Gary Chich, second by Jeff Oppor by American Asphalt and with an estimate of $65,851.50.
The clerk has received payment for all fire number billings, except one.
Clerk will look into getting quotes from carriers for garbage pickup.
Money was received from the federal government for coronavirus local recovery funds, in the amount of $32,499.59, which is 50 percent of the total. How the funds can be spent is still undecided.
A driveway permit is needed for the Richard Briquelet property on Lutz Road.
Waupaca County has sent letters to several property owners in the Town to clean up unused vehicles and junk from their property, per the town’s guidelines.
A stop sign was replaced on the corner of E Bestul Rd and County E.
No one from the Plan Commission was present for an update.
