At its regular monthly meeting held at Northland Church on Monday, July 14, the Town of Harrison Board, led by Chairman Dean Lashua, gathered to address routine business and approve new bartender licenses. The meeting began promptly at 6:30 p.m. Key decisions included the approval of three bartender licenses and the review of the town’s financial standing for June.
The meeting opened with the reading of the Clerk’s minutes from the previous session. A motion to approve the minutes as read was made by Mike Schultz and seconded by John Phillips; the motion passed unanimously.
Following the minutes, the Treasurer presented the financial report. The checking account began the month of June with a balance of $119,418.21. Deposits for the month totaled $2,430.11, while expenses amounted to $6,922.62. This left a closing balance of $114,925.70 as of June 30. The Money Market account also saw minimal activity, increasing slightly from $122,505.74 to $122,521.35 due to $15.61 in interest.
There was no old business on the agenda.
Under new business, the board voted to approve bartender licenses for three applicants: Daniel Dane, Cynthia Berry, and Kyleigh Muench. John Phillips made the motion, which was seconded by Mike Schultz, and the motion carried without opposition.
The board also reviewed calls and concerns from community members received over the past month, though no formal action was taken on those items during the meeting.
A motion to adjourn was made by John Phillips and seconded by Mike Schultz. The meeting concluded at 7 p.m.
