September 14
The regular monthly meeting for the Town of Harrison was held on Monday, Sept. 14, at Northland Church.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dean Lashua at 6:30 p.m. Present at the meeting were Mike Schultz, Ann Cassamassa, Jon Ann Kasson, Rose Troast, John Phillips and Fran Moen.
The Clerk’s minutes from the previous were read. A motion was made by Ann Cassamassa and second by Mike Schultz to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was given. The beginning balance on July 1, 2020 was $96,840.26. Deposits for the month totaled $33,339.54 and the total of expenses for the month was $57,478.96 leaving a balance in the account on July 31 of $72,478.96. The beginning balance in the Money Market account was $31,916.16. The interest collected for the month was $8.13 leaving a balance of $31,924.29 in the account.
New Business
The Board will hold a meeting to work on the 2021 Town Budget on Monday, Oct. 19, at 6:30 p.m. at Northland Church. The Budget Hearing will be held at 6 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 9, at Northland Church.
The County Land and Water Department has asked the approval of the Board to make a plan to improve the water runoff from a feed storage unit on Moen Farms. The plan would involve using part of the Town right of way on Wolf River Road. The Board decided to table this request until more information can be obtained on what liabilities this may involve for the Town. They will also ask if there are any other options to solving this problem that would not involve using the town right of way.
Calls and concerns received during the month were discussed by the Board.
A motion was made Ann Cassamassa and second by Mike Schultz to adjourn the meeting at 7:15 p.m. Motion carried.
October 12
The regular monthly meeting for the Town of Harrison was held on Monday, Oct. 12, at Northland Church.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Dean Lashua. Present at the meeting were Rose Troast, John Phillips, Brandon Schuster, Bob Opperman, Mike Schultz, Ann Cassamassa, Jon Ann Kasson and Fran Moen.
The Clerk’s minutes from the previous meeting were read. A motion was made by Ann Casamassa and second by Mike Schultz to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was given. The beginning balance on Sept. 1, was $84,879.83. Deposits for the month totaled $12.73 and the total of withdrawals and checks written was $17,844.54 leaving a balance in the account of $67,048.02. The beginning balance in the Money Market Account was $31,932.42. Interest collected for the month was $6.56 leaving a balance in the account on Sept. 30, of $31,938.98.
Old Business
The County Land and Water Department will not use a plan to improve water run off at the Moen Farms that would have involved the use of the Town right of way on Wolf River Road.
New Business
The Bridge inspections for the Town has been completed. All bridges passed inspection.
