The regular monthly meeting for the Town of Harrison was held on Monday, March 15, at Northland Church.
Chairman Dean Lashua called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Present at the meeting were Karla Schoofs, Alicia Wojtalewiz, Chris Thompson, Lee Miller, Lois Glodowski, Rose Troast, Mike Schultz, John Phillips, Jon Ann Kasson, and Fran Moen.
The Clerks minutes from the previous meeting were read. A motion was made by Mike Schultz and second by John Phillips to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was given. The beginning balance on Feb. 1 was $459,094.38. Deposits for the month totaled $122,977.63 and total expenditures for the month were $385,783.37 leaving a balance in the account on Feb. 28 of $196,288.64. The beginning balance in the money market account was $62,048.27. Interest collected for the month was $7.14 leaving a balance in the account of $62,055.41. The ARPA has a balance of $23,879.15.
New Business
Representatives of the Rosholt School Board were present. Mr. Chris Thompson, Administrator of the Rosholt School system, gave the Board an update on what they have accomplished in the last year. He also stated that a referendum to exceed the revenue limits will be held at the spring election held on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. There will be a minimal increase on the school district portion of your tax bill if the referendum passes. The district will continue to seek efficiencies in in operations that result in budget savings as part of their role as stewards of public funding.
The Annual meeting for the Town of Harrison will be held at Northland Church on Tuesday, April 19, 2 at 6 p.m.
A motion was made by John Phillips and second by Mike Schultz that a per diem of $40 will be paid to board members who participate in a zoom meeting as part of their duties. Motion carried.
Calls received during the month were discussed by the Board.
