The regular monthly meeting for the Town of Harrison Board was held on Monday, July 13, at Northland Church.
The meeting was called to order at 6:30 p.m. by Chairman Dean Lashua.
Present at the meeting were Bonnie Lionhard, Rose Troast, John Phillips, Ann Cassamassa, Mike Schultz, Fran Moen and Jon Ann Kasson.
The Clerk’s minutes from the previous meeting were read. A motion was made by Ann Cassamassa and second by Mike Schultz to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was given. The beginning balance on June 1 was $133,128.01. Deposits for the month totaled $3,185.37 and the total amount of expenditures was $39,473.12 leaving a balance in the checkbook on June 30 of $96,840.26. The beginning balance in the Money Market account was $31,907.64 and the interest collected was $8.52. The ending balance in the account was $31,916.16.
New Business
A motion was made by Mike Schultz and second by Ann Cassamassa to accept the Certified Survey Map for Bonnie Lionhard submitted by Jordon Broast. Motion carried.
A motion was made by Ann Cassamassa and second by Mike Schultz to authorize the purchase of the Ice Voting machine from Command Central. It will replace the Edge voting machine that will become obsolete by the year 2022. Command Central has offered to cut the purchase price if we agree to the purchase by August of 2020. Payment will not be required until 2021. A written contract with the company will not be made until a payment plan has been presented to the Township.
Calls and concerns received by the Board were discussed.
A motion was made by Mike Schultz and second by Ann Cassamassa to adjourn the meeting at 7 p.m. Motion carried.
