The regular monthly meeting for the Town of Harrison was held at Northland Church on Monday, Feb. 14.
Chairman Dean Lashua called the meeting to order at 6:30 p.m. Present at the meeting were Rose Troast, Jon Ann Kasson, John Phillips, and Fran Moen.
The Clerk’s minutes from the previous meeting were read. A motion was made by John Phillips and second by Dean Lashua to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was given. The beginning balance on Jan. 1 was $531,697.44. Deposits for the month were $366,534.51 and the total of the checks written and the automatic withdrawals was $439,137.57 leaving a balance in the account on Jan. 31 of $459,094.38. The beginning balance in the Money Market account was $62,040.37. Interest collected for the month was $7.90 leaving a balance of $62,048.27. The ARPA account has a balance of $23,879.15.
New Business
A motion was made by John Phillips and second by Dean Lashua to sign a one-year contract with Paul Hahn to be the building inspector for the Town. Motion carried.
The board will have Waupaca County do the bridge inspections for the town this year as they have done in the past. Waupaca County Planning and Zoning Office has informed the townships that they will be making some changes in their zoning ordinances.
A motion was made by John Phillips and second by Dean Lashua to allow Jon Ann Kasson to write a check for $3436.69 for an overpayment of property taxes. Motion carried.
Calls received by the Board during the month were discussed.
