The regular monthly meeting for the Town of Harrison was held on Monday, Aug. 10, at Northland Church.
The meeting was called to order by Chairman Dean Lashua at 6:30 p.m. Present at the meeting were Rose Troast, John Phillips, Ann Cassamassa, Mike Schultz, Jon Ann Kasson and Fran Moen.
The Clerk’s minutes from the previous meeting were read. A motion was made by Ann Cassamassa and second by Mike Schultz to accept the minutes as read. Motion carried.
The Treasurer’s report was given. The beginning balance on July 1 was $96,840.26. The total of deposits was $33,339.54 and the total of expenditures was $57,478.96 leaving a balance on July 31 of $72,700.84. The beginning balance in the Money Market account was $31,916.16. Interest collected for the month was $8.13 leaving a balance in the account of $31,924.29.
New Business
The Board signed an Intergovernmental cooperative agreement to facilitate purchase of an accessible voting system which is called an ImageCast Evolution with Ballot Box Precinct Tabulation Hardware with Waupaca County. This will replace the Edge voting equipment which will be obsolete within two years. Approval of the purchase was given at the July 13 monthly meeting.
Calls and concerns received by the Board during the month were discussed.
A motion was made by Mike Schultz and second by Ann Cassamassa to adjourn the meeting at 7 p.m. Motion carried.
