
The Town of Harrison government board convened its regular meeting on Dec. 8, at Northland Church to address administrative and financial matters significant to local governance. Board members formally approved the appointment of election workers and authorized a transfer of funds, actions deemed essential for the town’s upcoming operations and fiscal stewardship.
The meeting was attended by the full Harrison government board, including the town chairperson, board supervisors, the town clerk, and the town treasurer. Each member participated in the discussion and decision-making process.
The board reviewed and approved the minutes from the previous meeting. The motion to accept the minutes passed unanimously, confirming agreement on the recorded proceedings.
The town treasurer presented a financial report detailing current account balances and recent transactions. The beginning balance on Nov. 1, was $76,995.26. Deposits for the month totaled $43,378.05 and the total expenses were $42,204.77 leaving an ending balance on Nov. 30, of $78,168.54. The Money balance on Nov. 1, was $122,583.29. Market account collected $14.11 in interest, so the balance at the end of the month is $122,597.40.
New Business
The board considered and approved the appointment of election workers for the upcoming municipal elections. The motion to confirm the list of workers was introduced, discussed, and passed by majority vote. The election workers appointed were Tracy Guzman, Diana Anderson, Sally Van Epren, Rose Trost, Jon Ann Kasson, Diane Erickson, and Fran Moen.
Additionally, the board reviewed a proposal to transfer $15,000 between designated town accounts to ensure proper allocation for upcoming projects and operational needs. The motion to authorize the fund transfer was carried after a brief discussion.
Board members discussed recent calls from residents regarding community concerns.
